ANYWAY, on ksl.com this morning, the headlining story was this: "Off Duty Officer Threatened in Road Rage Incident." I had to admit that I was intrigued, so I read the story - and laughed out loud. Here's part of it:
The suspect in a road rage threat apparently picked the wrong motorist to mess with. The victim turned out to be an off-duty police officer. The incident prompted a massive show of law enforcement early this morning.
It started on 500 South in Salt Lake City around 2:30 a.m. An off-duty officer was on his way home from work in an unmarked car. He was just about to drive onto I-15 when another vehicle tried to merge into his lane, nearly hitting his car.
The officer honked his horn to warn the driver. The other driver rolled down his window and allegedly told the officer he was going to kill him. The officer said the man then reached for something under his seat.
At some point a second car tried to help the suspect vehicle corral the police officer off the road. The officer flashed his police lights, and both vehicles took off southbound on I-15.
The officer called in the threat. Within a matter of minutes, nearly 20 police cars from several agencies had stopped the two suspect cars at 4500 South.
I laughed SO hard when I read this. How many times have YOU been wronged in traffic like this, and you wished that there was a cop around to see it and pull the offender over? This time, it was a COP that was wronged. It's just so... funny! It's that funny to me particularly because I've had major road rage issues in the past. I've been pretty good lately, though. THIS guy obviously has a screw loose. He really picked the wrong motorist to mess with because not only did the cop call his posse to chase the guy down, but the story goes on to say that while no gun was located in the suspect's car, cocaine was. Better and better.
Anyway, I just had to share. For the full story, click here: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=3264529
Happy Friday!

That is hilarious. I love that tons of cops pulled him over just to mess with him. People can be so mean in traffic, its nice to see someone get their just desserts!
