At a family dinner yesterday, I was at a table chatting with some cousins, when one of them made the comment that Halloween ceased to be fun after you're too old to trick-or-treat... to use a phrase from Steve, "I disagree vehemently." There's still scary movies (which I don't usually watch), Haunted Deseret where they do scary story-telling, the Haunted Canyon on the Heeber Creeper (geared mostly toward younger kids, but still fun), and I still dress up every year for Halloween - who cares if I don't trick-or-treat? Thanks to my good friend Holly, I get to wear a cool dress! And as Holly says, Halloween is a great excuse to wear a really cool dress that makes you look better than everyone else, hehe. This is me last year:
For anyone that doesn't know the Lord of the Rings movies, this is me as Eowyn, from the Two Towers.
Oh yes, Halloween is for EVERYONE, not just kids! :)

I think for me it's the season that's good times. Love the festiveness of it and the scary movies and music.
Oh, and Dan is the one who says "I disagree vehemently." I don't know if I've ever heard Steve say that ;)
ditto steve. we just bought mckinlay's halloewwn cosutume (a lion. a super cute lion.) and ty and i are trying to figure out what we can go as to coordinate (so far, we're thinkin' a lion tamer and a tightrope walker...but it's still in the works).
yes i have finished new moon. actually, the other day ty told me he was going to go as edward for halloween becuase "all he would need is a fake pair of fangs" hee hee.
correction:
ditto dan.
(thanks mikie)
But I've only ever heard Steve say it! I don't think I've heard Dan say it, though I can't say I'm surprised it's him that first said it, hehe...
Meg, I bet vampires are going to be huge this year for Halloween costumes, hehe! Just because of those books! Serious, I'm going to keep a count of how many vampires I see this Halloween, hehe...
I think you got Danielle super excited by the end of the conversation on the coolness of Halloween. You changed a life. Just right there. At the dinner table. You just can't beat that feeling! Huh?
